The Journey of the Artist
A singer from Birmingham, Alabama, my musical journey started at 14, when I sang for the first time. I knew then that I wanted to pursue music. Over the years, I've done many events-both in my hometown and abroad, even singing in renowned venues.
I come from an old-school family, so a lot of Temptations or Gladys Knight-type sounds were being played during my life. Those are my influences--authentic old-school R&B, where voices flowed like honey, real instruments were being used, and content had substance. Timeless music!
I am also a graduate the prestigious HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), Tuskegee University, with a degree in Elementary Education. This is actually where I had my first performance outside of my hometown.
